Trialhead is built and maintained by a two-person team. We read everything and usually reply within a few days.
Common questions
Is my health information private?
Yes — it never leaves your phone. Trialhead has no accounts and no servers; searches go directly from your device to ClinicalTrials.gov. See the privacy policy.
Does Trialhead cost anything?
No. No price, no in-app purchases, no ads. It is a free, open-source project, and staying free is a founding commitment.
Can Trialhead tell me whether I qualify for a trial?
No, and it never will. Eligibility is a medical judgment for you, your doctor, and the study team. Trialhead explains criteria in plain language and points you to the study contact — it does not make the call.
A trial I found looks outdated or wrong.
Trialhead shows each trial’s recruitment status, last-update date, and NCT ID straight from ClinicalTrials.gov. If the registry data itself is stale, the study team listed on the trial is the authoritative source. If Trialhead is displaying it incorrectly, email us — that’s a bug and we want to fix it.
Is Trialhead medical advice?
No. Trialhead surfaces and explains public information. It never diagnoses, never suggests treatments, and never interprets lab results. Decisions about your care belong with you and your clinicians.
Open source
Trialhead’s code will be published under the Apache 2.0 license at github.com/finalstretch once the app lands on the App Store. From then on, bug reports and feature requests are welcome there as GitHub issues; until then, email works just as well.
